Master of Science in Nursing

NOTE: Our Master of Science in Nursing program’s specialty tracks have transitioned to our Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. We have eight tracks available in our Postmaster’s DNP program and our eight advanced practice tracks have now transitioned to our postbaccalaureate BSN to DNP program.

However, students who may not be able to complete the DNP degree may stop out and receive a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree. More information about the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program transition to the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and the MSN stop out option.

The College of Nursing’s Postmaster’s Certificate program is available to students who already have a master’s degree in nursing and wish to be nationally certified in another specialty area. They can receive a postmaster’s certificate in any of our specialty tracks.

The master’s program at the University of Florida College of Nursing is accredited by the
Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, One Dupont Circle, NW, Suite 530, Washington, DC 20036, (202) 887-6791.

The college is a member of the Council on Collegiate Education for Nursing of the Southern Regional Board and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. Graduates are eligible for the relevant national certification examination of each area of clinical specialization and for State of Florida certification as nurse practitioners and clinical specialists.
